Details

The project aims to develop a comprehensive ecosystem map of the Canadian innovation landscape, specifically highlighting companies and organizations with active Africa-facing strategies. This initiative is crucial for Afrifursa to understand and leverage the existing connections between Canada and Africa in the innovation sector. By identifying key players, partnerships, and initiatives, the project will provide valuable insights into the current state of cross-continental collaboration. The map will serve as a strategic tool for Afrifursa to foster new partnerships, enhance existing collaborations, and identify potential opportunities for growth and development. The project will involve researching and cataloging relevant organizations, analyzing their strategies, and visualizing the data in an accessible format.

- Research and identify Canadian companies and organizations with Africa-facing strategies.

- Analyze the nature and scope of these strategies.

- Visualize the data to create an accessible and informative ecosystem map.

Deliverables

The primary deliverable is a detailed ecosystem map that visually represents the Canadian innovation landscape with a focus on Africa-facing strategies. This map will include a comprehensive list of companies and organizations, their strategic initiatives, and key partnerships. There is an pilot version of the map based on Kumu. We have already developed a methodology for data collection and stakeholder classification.

Additionally, a report summarizing the findings and providing strategic recommendations for Afrifursa will be delivered. The map and report will be presented in a digital format, ensuring easy access and usability.

- A digital ecosystem map highlighting relevant organizations and strategies.

- A summary report with strategic insights and recommendations.

- Presentation of findings to Afrifursa stakeholders.

- Marketing plan and execution around the project.
